Isle of Man Salt Co. launches in UK via DELLI

10 October 2024

The Isle of Man Salt Co., a sustainable sea salt producer, is launching across the UK through a partnership with popular artisan food and drink app DELLI.

The award-winning Manx company creates artisanal sea salt products using only renewable energy sources, harnessing the power of the sun and wind to evaporate the water from the salt.

Isle of Man Salt Co. products are unique, coming from the marine nature reserve waters of the Isle of Man, the only entire nation UNESCO biosphere in the world.

For the first time, customers across the UK will be able to order two of the Isle of Man Salt Co.’s bestselling products – Furikake Japanese Seasoning and their Salted Caramel Sauce – for home delivery. Isle of Man Salt Co. recently received its first Great Taste award for their ‘salted caramel sauce’.

The company was founded in 2021 by Helen Crosbie, formerly a professional chef.

Helen said: “I’m thrilled to announce this new partnership with DELLI. This is a huge milestone in our ambitious plans to grow the company and reach more people.

I’ve been humbled by the support I’ve received from friends and partners across the Isle of Man as I’ve developed this business over the last three years. This support has been invaluable in encouraging me to take the next step, making my products available in the UK for the first time. I look forward to showing people across the UK what makes our Isle of Man products unique.”

Ollie Neale, Chair of the Isle of Man’s Food & Drink Export Development Group, said:

“This is a very exciting step for Helen, her company and the Isle of Man. We are delighted that a member of the Export Development Group is flying the banner for Manx produce in the UK.

“The Isle of Man Salt Co. joins other companies from across the Island that have established a loyal customer base overseas. Recently, the Fynoderee Distillery expanded their home delivery offer across mainland Europe, while Manx made cheese and our queen scallops have been enjoyed by consumers in USA, France, Italy and Spain for a number of years.”

The Isle of Man Salt Co. is also a Biosphere partner. As such, the company is committed to promoting sustainability, conserving biodiversity and sharing the Island’s culture.

This news is another step towards the Isle of Man Government’s plans to grow their food and drink sector, as part of ambitious economic plan to double GDP and diversify the Manx economy to create and fill 5,000 new jobs on the Island by 2032.
